MABs: A firm foundation

Foundation Garments: puulllease. It’s shocking. Whose body is that? And really I’m not THAT big, but too big to buy a bra… at 42C? And aren’t we the folks that need the latex, not the 32As? And the folks at the department stores, all of whom are my size or larger, sniffing disapprovingly because I am looking for something to fit. Helloo? But that’s accomplished, it seems. My bosoms will be where they’re supposed to be, my silhouette will be smooth but curvy. I didn’t buy anything uncomfortable. And although you’re entitled to buy things for your wedding that you’ll never use again. Unfortunately the truth of the matter is, i will probably wear this garment again.

Here’s a clue. (Glory, how far we’ve wandered from meaningful weddings… but you know, there are just things that you need to think about. I’m a ritual maker. I had the wedding ceremony out of the way early. I had to or I would have killed myself and my Stevie Mitchell. But after that there was nothing but Details ahead. And underwear comes under the heading of details.) Comfortable, pretty underwear is a bride’s right.

I’m entitled to it. You’re entitled to it. And we both deserve it.

Because love is lovelier, (and so will you be!)
