It’s such a shocking thing to see violence as the only answer he could find for his love for his country and his despair. It’s jarring to see his awareness of the cost of this for everyone, himself included. This is exactly why we need to imagine Peace harder. To build Peace jointly. To be deliberate in choosing answers that give us all futures. His decisions sit very uncomfortably in the belly — they remind us we must choose harder, better.
