Hello, welcome to today’s musing:
This wasn’t the first time he passed me in a procession. On Palm Sunday, ’87, I he walked by my pew St. John the Divine, a Baptist following the highest church procession the Episcopal Church manages in the year — bemused, amused, in a simple white cassock! I had the hubris then, to question some of his theology — never having understood the high cost he paid for that theology. By ’19, I was a bit more humble, and he wore those years he endured proudly. His warm, welcoming smile was a benison. He accepted my gratitude gesture of hand on heart, with an even wider smile, personal, acknowledging. I give thanks for his Life in his God, in Peace.
Ann
