Hello, welcome to today’s musing: 

This is why Candlemas is my very favorite holiday — along with my other very favorite holidays! I love the notion of going from household to household, blessing the light to last the whole year long, receiving thanks in in a portion of their light, so that the Priestess lit her home with the light of her village. I’m late this year, (it’s the first), but it’s such a lovely image. The early church adopted it, and still on that day, the year’s candles are blessed. Love and light to you!
