Social Justice: August 2, 2021

While I was in Washington this past week, it dawned on me that Maggie and I haven’t yet gotten to putting up the Social Justice part of my website. Look for it to emerge in the coming weeks. I love the work I do with all of you, but my Social Justice and Peace work, as I stand with those who are disenfranchised and unattended to is what restores my soul. I am called to this work with everything that is in me. I still search for my place in the movements I support. I still look for those movements that will add to my work. I invite you all to keep tabs on me in this work, to support me with your love and prayers — and occasionally money if I or someone needs some help, to encourage me when I am overwhelmed — and to walk with me, when you feel so moved.

I believe that you and I and so many others are the ones who can make a difference in how the world works. The community I came out of used to sing “There is more love somewhere.” I believe that greater love is right here.

As we say in the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival: “Forward together, not one step back.” Come and go with me on my way — Justice and Peace are over there.

Peace, Ann
