Peacemaker’s Tarot for the 21st Century
I can’t tell you how excited I am to let you know about this. For the last two years, I have been working on another book on Tarot. I wrote one years ago, which I thought addressed peacemaking in Tarot, but I was wrong. I wasn’t ready. I hadn’t really begun to study nonviolence at that point, and without nonviolence, there is no Peace.
Leaving my job at the church will offer me the space I’ve wanted to focus on my writing, my rituals, my activism, and in this moment, so very importantly, my tarot writing and reading.
I’ve been reading tarot, and reading and writing about tarot for over 35 years. I find it a very useful tool for exploring possible directions and evaluating choices. But I have become tired of the tired old archetypes that do not fit today’s world. And I think it offers far more possibilities than the Magic 8 BallTM and daisy petal use to which too many of us reduce it. In PT21stC, I’m deepening the mysticism and releasing the magical thinking.
In Peacemaker’s Tarot for the 21st Century, I am stripping away the hierarchies and “isms” to introduce you to a wealth of possibilities in your future. Some people will be able to use this as a prognosticator, but I’m building a tool on which you can make good decisions for your life and the world around you. My goal is for activists, thea/theologians, artists, and all the rest of us, to have tools to build Peace in our lives, in our communities, on and with the Planet.

I’ve assembled a great team around me: Ed, with whom I’ve thought for years. Anthony, who is the web wizard behind the curtain, Maggie, who is my creative director and my knower of trends, and Sara, who is my coach. They are good friends, ardent supporters, and knowledgeable critics. They don’t let me get away with anything. Er… They push, coax, and encourage.
